Follow the process –
Step 1: National Defence Academy
NDA is a written test conducted by UPSC and notification for NDA is released in the month of June and December of every month.
Eligibility
Age: 16 ½ to 19 ½ years
Height: 162.5 cm
Leg Length: Min 99.00 cm Max 120.00 cm
Thigh Length: Min N/A Max 64.00 cm
Sitting Height: Min 81.50 cm Max 96.00 cm
Nationality: Indian
Gender: Unmarried Male (Females are also eligible from November 2021)
Qualification to join Indian Air Force
Passed 10+2 with Math, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English from a renowned university.
OR,
Passed 3 years of Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream from a renowned Polytechnic Institute with 50% aggregate in engineering and English or matriculation.
Syllabus

Step 2: Air Force Selection Board
After qualifying NDA, one has to appear for AFSB which is located in Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar, and Mysore. The following test stages are –
Stage 1 – Screening Test
– Officer Intelligent Rating Test
– Picture Perception and Discussion Test
Stage 2 – Psychological, Physical and Interview Test
– Psychological Test, Group Test, and Interview
– Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) (only for flying branch)
Through NDA an aspirant can apply for flying branch, Ground Duty (non-tech), Ground Duty (tech).

Step 3 – Medical Test
On clearing AFSB, one will be send to Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi or Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru.
An All India Merit List is compiled on the basis of written test and AFSB interview.
At the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, the candidate is undertaken 3 years of training followed by special training at one AF Training Establishments. After the end of 3 years, the candidate is termed as Permanent Commission Officers and posted in any Air Force Station.

- Push-ups and sit-ups: 20
- Running: 4 km in 15 minutes

- Rope climbing: 3 to 4 meter
