What is B Arch Eligibility in India ?

First and foremost you must have completed plus two or [su_highlight]XII or twelfth standard in Science[/su_highlight]. You must have Maths as a subject in plus two to be eligible for BArch.

You also require a minimum of [su_highlight]50% marks[/su_highlight] in plus two. This makes you eligible for the Entrance exam.

What subjects do I need to study architecture?

This is the eligibility criteria to get into B Arch in 2018

It is hereby informed to all concerned that as per the Council of Architecture Minimum Standards
of Architectural Education, 1983, [su_highlight background=”#ffff99″]no candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate,[/su_highlight] shall be
admitted to the architecture course unless he/ she has passed an examination at the end of the
new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with [su_highlight background=”#ffff99″]Mathematics[/su_highlight] as
subjects of examination at the 10+2 level.

Further, candidates who have passed [su_highlight background=”#ffff99″]10+3 Diploma with subject of Mathematics[/su_highlight], duly
recognised by Central/State Governments as equivalent to 10+2 level, with minimum 50%
aggregate marks are also eligible for admission to B.Arch. course during 2018-2019.

The above eligibility shall be applicable for the academic session [su_highlight background=”#ffff99″]2018-2019 only[/su_highlight].

B arch eligibility 2019

The admission into B Arch has been revised for 2019  – 2020. as per the revised structure you require 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% in 10 plus two exam. Admission into the 1st year of the 5 year B Arch program will be based on passing the aptitude test in Architecture.

It is further informed that the revised eligibility for admission to the said course as approved by
the Central Government and applicable from the academic session [su_highlight background=”#ffff99″]2019-2020[/su_highlight] is as under:
No candidate shall be admitted to architecture program unless she/ he has passed an
examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with[su_highlight background=”#ffff99″] 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics [/su_highlight]and also [su_highlight background=”#ffff99″]50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2[/su_highlight] level examination.
Only candidates fulfilling the revised eligibility criteria shall be eligible for admission to the course
from the session 2019-2020.
